Privacy policy

This policy explains how Commercial Solar PPA ("we") handles personal data when you use this website. We are the data controller.

What we collect

• Enquiry details: your name, job title, company, work email, phone, site postcode and the site information you enter in the eligibility check.
• Consent record: the consent wording you agreed to, its version and the time.
• Visit details: how you reached the site (campaign tags, Google click ID, referrer and landing page), and a one-way hashed form of your IP address used to prevent abuse.

Why we use it and our lawful basis (UK GDPR)

• Sharing your enquiry with partners — consent (Article 6(1)(a)). We only share your details if you tick the consent box.
• Responding to and managing your enquiry — legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
• Preventing spam and abuse, and measuring how the site performs — legitimate interests.
• Keeping records we must keep by law — legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

The free-text description in the eligibility check is used to generate your guidance with an AI service. Please don't include personal details in that box.

Who we share it with

With your consent, we share your enquiry with up to three solar PPA providers or installers listed on our Partners page so they can contact you about it. Each partner becomes a controller of the data it receives and must handle it under its own privacy policy. We also use service providers that host our website, database and email under contract, acting on our instructions.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for 24 months from your last contact with us, then delete or anonymise it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn't affect sharing that has already happened, but we will tell partners we've shared with that you have withdrawn.
